🌾 ECOD Fulfills Its Promise to Support Catherine Tchongwe
As part of our dedication to enhancing Food Security, Nutrition, and Livelihoods, Ebenezer Community Development Organization (ECOD) has fulfilled its promise to support Catherine Tchongwe, a visually impaired woman and mother of four from GVH Mathambo, TA Jalavikuwa in Mzimba District. Earlier this year, ECOD prepared Catherine’s land and provided her with maize seeds to kickstart her farming activities. Today, we proudly delivered two bags of fertilizer to further support her efforts in building a sustainable livelihood.
This initiative is one of many in our ongoing mission to uplift vulnerable families through sustainable agricultural practices. By providing essential inputs and follow-up support, ECOD aims to empower communities to grow their own food, generate income, and improve their resilience against poverty and hunger. We remain committed to expanding this impact and reaching even more households in need across Malawi.

In December 2024, ECOD previously supported Catherine with a package of essential items, including clothes, blankets, seven tins of maize, sugar, a bale of soya pieces, buckets, and more. These efforts demonstrate our holistic approach to development—addressing both immediate needs and long-term sustainability.
